Narcissus represents the ugly duckling phase of the swan’s youth. The blue and heavily clumsy infant represents the child (as a bird here) who is unable to think of anything else but itself and therefore on a par with those of us who get caught up in our own thoughts and patterns. But luckily for the duckling, (and the human it represents) growth and beauty is just around the corner as its steps are being prepared for the future. There are many different types of styles involved in the steps and lots of hues to suggest so many options available in life whether they are perceived or not.
